'Leaf of Life' wins Vesoul filmfest prize

The Iranian movie 'Leaf of Life', is awarded by the Vesoul International Film Festival of Asian Cinema in France.

Directed by Ebrahim Mokhtari, the flick grabbed the Inalco Jury Award of the cinematic event.

The movie had its international premiere in the competition section of the event.

‘Leaf of Life’ chronicles a true story that unfolds against the backdrop of Saffron harvest in a small Iranian town northwest of the country.

As a farmer is determined to earn enough money to purchase a landed property in the capital city of Tehran, real estate price hikes seem to thwart him.

According to its website, the Vesoul International Film Festival of Asian Cinema (Festival international des cinémas d'Asie) is an annual special-interest film festival focusing on the cinemas of Asia. The festival is held annually in Vesoul, France. It was created in 1995.

The 24th edition of Vesoul International Film Festival of Asian Cinema was kicked off January 30, 2018 and wrapped up this week in Vesoul, France.
